In February 2004, my parent's house caught on fire... after a very sudden realization of how quickly something/ someone can be taken from you, we decided to start trying for children. Well- God's plan for us was not the same as our own. He thought that we needed to wait a bit longer before we would have any kids. This was such a struggle for us, me especially. Knowing that I was the problem why we were having troubles. God showed himself strong to us through this tribulation period. A few years ago- he gave me a promise of children... a ladybug. It was the middle of winter and a ladybug literally appeared from out of nowhere in my kitchen. I looked up ladybug as a symbol- it is actually a sign of fertility. God was promising us the desire of our hearts, in his time- not in our own. Throughout the years of "trying" we were continually reminded of his promise through ladybugs. After 3 years of trying... we found out that we were finally expecting! Ashlyn is our little ladybug! She is now 3 1/2 months old- and let me tell you- WORTH EVERY SECOND OF WAITING! Thank you Lord for the huge blessing that you've given us.
